Hospitality in the sun!
“ Just returned from a beautiful 18 days in Cyprus staying at the Bohemian Gardens Hotel! Lovey clean hotel, spacious modem, tastefully decorated rooms, lots of storage space, balcony with table and chairs and small drying rail, Clean compact bathrooms with shower, The hotel itself is in a great location between penera and Protaras 10 minutes and 15 minutes walk along the coastal path to both, 5 minutes walk from a bus stop that takes you to Ayia Napa, supermarket within 2 minutes walking distance and a small number of bars, We had 2 rooms on the 6th floor (623 & 625) both “garden view” this is the front of the hotel and facing the road which is not noisy so we had many peaceful nights, Because our rooms where high up we also had a beautiful sea view (which is not advertised), so a very pleasant surprise, • Recommendation if you want a sea view ask for any room with a garden view on floor 3,4,5,6 and rooms 21-27 on all those floors! The other view option is “pool view” which is the back of the hotel. These rooms have full sun throughout the day so if you prefer to sit on your balcony through the day then maybe that’s a better option for you? If you have a disability do let the hotel know as they have many rooms with disabled /wheelchair accessible showers. The restaurant staff where very efficient and helpful - our son has coeliac so requires a strict gluten free diet, this was provided every night with everyone making sure he enjoyed his food, special thanks to Damitrias, Katerina, Tomas, Izabella and Kabita and the rest of the team in the restaurant! Do let the hotel know in advance as this also helps with their planning. There is a lovely bar area and swimming pool with comfortable loungers - towels can be rented from the hotel, you pay a deposit which is given back when you return them. Reception staff Androniki and Krasimere where lovely and always very welcoming! I think the only negative I can think of and this is largely out of the hotels control, we arrived mid/late April and it was still unseasonably cold/rainy. The bar area only had 4 large patio heaters honestly - this could have been doubled to make it more comfortable for all the guests, Also the “sports/tv area” has no heating at all and although has gorgeous screened walls it became very cold watching the football there so maybe some sort of heaters or a wind barrier of some sort. But as I said this was largely based on the weather and mostly out of the hotels control. This is a family run hotel, with a strong focus on people feeling welcomed, it is no surprise that we met many returning guests during our stay there, and indeed we will be returning ourselves! “
