Worst holiday ever – La Rosa Waves Hurghada is a huge disappointment

This review is written in English. تمت كتابة هذا التقييم باللغة الإنجليزية. ⸻ We recently stayed at La Rosa Waves in Hurghada, and without a doubt this was the worst holiday experience we have ever had. Room From the moment we arrived, everything was broken or extremely outdated. The door frame was completely loose, you could literally see outside through it. On top of that, screws were sticking out near the door lock, and we actually hurt ourselves bumping into them. The bathroom was filthy – yellow/black stains everywhere, a toilet so badly placed that it was impossible to sit properly, and a shower that barely worked. The showerhead kept falling, sometimes brown water came out, and the drain didn’t work at all. The furniture was falling apart, the wardrobe didn’t work, and the air conditioning was constantly leaking. The bed was terrible: the mattress was collapsed, and there were stains on the sheets, pillows, and covers. Even the “clean” replacements were dirty. Sleeping was nearly impossible. The TV didn’t work, there was no wifi (even though a network appeared), and the balcony door wouldn’t close. One of the balcony chairs was broken and dangerous to sit on. The floor was dirty, covered in sand and stains. Resort & Facilities The resort itself was poorly maintained and very outdated. The dining hall was dirty, the furniture old, and the windows looked like they had been smeared with spit. The food (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) looked so unappetizing that we felt sick just looking at it. We had to eat out every day, which was never the plan since we booked all-inclusive. The “all inclusive” drinks were a joke: tiny plastic cups the size of an espresso shot, and most of the drink machines were broken. Sometimes we had to walk 150 meters just for a drink. Service & Response We reported the problems immediately upon arrival, but 10 days later nothing had been done. The only “compensation” we received was being allowed to check out at 15:00 instead of 12:00 on the last day – even though our transfer was picking us up at 15:20. That was useless. We also had to spend a lot of money on mobile internet and calls to the travel agency, since the resort’s wifi did not work at all. Conclusion The photos on Prijsvrij are clearly from when the resort first opened, because what we found looked nothing like them. This was by far the worst holiday we have ever had. Everything was dirty, broken, or poorly maintained. We needed this holiday, but instead we ended up with frustration, extra costs, and zero relaxation. It is now 10 days later and we are finally back home – relieved that this nightmare is over. Rating: 0/10 – Absolutely not recommended. This resort should no longer be offered.

Vreselijk

Heel heel heel slecht, geen 1 ster waard, kamer vreselijk, kakkerlakken, geen water, badkamer was een halve 2m groot, smerig als maar zijn kan, elke dag viel het water en de electriteit uit, eten durfde ik niet aan te raken, smaakte naar chloor en overal zaten vliegen op.
